Langdale Pikes

On a jewel-like January day an easy walk from Elterwater Common  gave this spectacular view of the Langdale Pikes with Loughrigg Tarn in the foreground.   These fells are iconic in the Langdale Valley despite being not as high as some of the other well known fells nearby.  The walk back to Elterwater Common from Skelwith Bridge along the river completes the walk – with more view of the Pikes across Elterwater.
