View to Skiddaw on a cold and windy day

This is a view up to Skiddaw over the choppy waters of Derwentwater on an early March day. The walk over the “Chinese bridge” and then along the duckboards is a favourite and affords spectacular views of the lake and the encircling fells.  Usually the walk is accompanied with a picnic on one of the headlands but the cold and windy conditions that day meant the picnic was just nominal!
