If you google “teddy in the window Keswick” you will see the story behind this. On the walk around Derwentwater – near the shingle beach at Brandelhow Bay and just past the house is an old shed – with a teddy pinned in a plastic bag hung up in the window. Presumably the teddy was lost and then found and displayed in the hope that the owner would return to retrieve it. However since then the teddy has achieved a very special following of his own – with letters from visitors far and wide and even recipes for marmalade. Royal Mail knows where to find him!
