Passion Flower in Croft House garden

Passion Flower in Croft House garden

In a week which has seen some crisp, very cold days – there are still passion flowers blooming in the front garden of Croft House.

The outlook across to Braithwaite dominated by Grizedale Pike has been very alpine with snow on the high fells down to about 2000 feet However it is rare for Keswick to have snow at ground level – the opportunities for making snowmen in the gardens of Croft House, Croftside and Croft Corner are therefore always limited.

Our guests this week have reported that they have enjoyed watching the woodpecker again – on the feeding trays in Croft Corner’s garden. They have also seen Nuthatches and Fieldfares.
