Paragliding off Latrigg

Paragliding off Latrigg

The last day of August proved to be a beautiful, clear, sunny day.

It was ideal for the group of paragliders assembled at the top of Latrigg. During the day they took turns to try tandem paragliding – the brightly coloured canopy swirling over them as they swooped along the ridge of Latrigg overlooking the town of Keswick. The lake in the photo is Bassenthwaite and the hills are those beyond the village of Thornthwaite.

Croft House and our and our two self catering cottages are in the fields in the valley – we had a good view of the paragliders from our garden.
