We will have taken this photo so many times over the years in all seasons! The walk from near the White Moss car park (just park on the hill or in the little free car parks on the top of the hill) through the woods and up onto Loughrigg Terrace is very special.
We like to do this walk in mid May when the bluebells are out in profusion.
Or in summer – especially in the evening when you can picnic by the lake.
Or in winter – when you can see features in the distance revealed by the lack of tree foliage.
Or in autumn when the colours are magnificent.
In short – it is a favourite walk which never pales!By Jan on April 9th, 2018
