A carpet of wood anemones

Wood Anemones

When I was posting the day’s correspondence at the post box at Thrushwood recently I noticed this carpet of wood anemones in the woodland behind the post box. The bright starry flowers lit up the area beneath the trees. Another harbinger of Spring!
